Safety & Trust

How we keep trips safe

"I know joining a group trip with people you met online can feel like a big step. That's why every person applies, agrees to the group expectations, and is reviewed before being accepted. My goal is to create a safe, respectful, sober environment where people can show up as friends and leave with a real community."

It's normal to feel cautious. People wonder whether the group is vetted, whether sleeping on a school bus is okay, whether this is professional, and what their family will think. Here's exactly how it works, so you can decide with a clear head.

Everyone is vetted

No one shows up unscreened. Every guest fills out an application with their real name, age, photo, and social links, answers questions about why they want to come, and provides a trusted reference contact. Theo reviews each application personally before anyone is accepted. The social links and photo aren't busywork — they confirm you're a real person and help Theo understand the energy you'd bring to the group.

The application process

Choose a trip, fill out the application, read and agree to the group expectations, sign the waiver, and submit your deposit. Theo reviews everything and either approves or declines. You are not officially on a trip until Theo approves you.

Your deposit is pending until you're approved

Placing a deposit doesn't lock you in before review. Your deposit is pending until your application is reviewed and accepted. If you're not accepted, your deposit is refunded.

Clear group rules, sober environment

These are sober, intentional trips. No alcohol, no illegal drugs, no partying. There's a written set of expectations every guest agrees to before joining — adult responsibility, respect for others and for nature, and zero tolerance for sexual misconduct, stealing, or disrespect. See the full list on Rules & Expectations and Sober Trip Policy.

No romantic pressure

This is not a dating trip. Everyone comes as a friend and is expected to respect everyone else as a friend. More on the No Romantic Energy / Safe Space Policy page.

A reference and emergency contact

Every guest provides one trusted contact — a close friend, parent, or sibling who knows their character. It serves as a character reference and as someone we can reach on your behalf if we ever need to. It's about accountability and care, nothing scary.
